Parish Coffees: From the first Sunday in November to the last Sunday in March, after the 7:45 and 9:30 a.m. Liturgies, we have coffee and donuts served in the Church basement to allow all parishioners an opportunity to gather and socialize with one another. Parish Picnic/Summerfest: Yearly, in August on the weekend closest to the feast of the Assumption of Mary, our Parish holds a Summerfest/Picnic. Good food, music, soccer tournaments, an antique car show, evening Casino, and kid's games provide a setting for family fun and gathering. Volunteers are always needed to help things run smoothly. Working together gives us a chance to build parish family relationships. Breakfast with Santa: This annual breakfast is held to encourage our young parishioners to experience 'doing for others,' from planning and serving to clean up. The young people of the parish, grades 7 through 12 facilitate this event, under the direction and leadership of adult volunteers. It is usually held the first Sunday in December. Santa is there for the little ones; a craft table is often available (donations of items sold come from members of the parish). Adults are always needed to make these events a success. Annual
Spaghetti Dinner (Mardi Gras Dinner):
On the Saturday evening before Ash Wednesday, the Parish hosts a Spaghetti
Dinner in the Center Gym for all parishioners and their families. Proceeds
from this event are used to respond to local charitable organizations. |
